Človeku postane slabo ob poslušanju o ubogih Gruzincih, o vseh njihovih žrtvah in trpljenju, o uničenih mestih in cestah. O Južnih Osetijcih se namreč na žalost ne sliši prav veliko. Niso na pravi strani. So njihovi in zato je potrebno njihovo trpljenje, ki je prišlo, to je dejstvo, po napadu gruzinskih sil, ki so napadle prve, ignorirati.  Piše Justin Raimondo:

The tragicomic aspects of this media-induced cognitive dissonance came to the fore on Fox News the other day, when the announcer was interviewing a 12-year-old American girl who happened to be sitting in a café in Tskhinvali when Georgian bombs started raining down on her head. The announcer’s eyebrows shot up when the girl thanked the Russian soldiers. After the girl and her aunt finished their recounting of Georgian atrocities, the announcer capped off his report by intoning: “There are gray areas in war.”

Jep, utišati jih je potrebno, če ne govorijo tako kot se o njih pričakuje. Kako demokratično.  In potem so Rusi tisti, ki imajo nesvobodne medije!? Vse kar govorijo, je potrebno označiti za propagando. Brez argumentov, brez dokazov, kar tako. Na primer poročila o stotinah žrtev in ogromnem uničenju, pa o tisočih beguncih iz Južne Osetije.
